This system allows for super smooth drag action engaged only in one direction. The sierra drag allows for drag free retrievals when re-spooling line. The drag is easily converted by simply reversing the bearing direction.Sierra reels are made from die cast aluminum. They are machined, brushed smooth, and finished with corrosion resistant, classic black enamel. The frame and spools are ported, producing extremely light, yet durable reels.
