G.Loomis StreamDance Metolius Fly Rods

This consider the workhorse of the new StreamDance series, the Metolius is exemplary of G.Loomis' dedication to creating condition-specific actions and tapers and crafting rods that are as beautiful as the settings in which they are fished. These rods are available in the softer Presentation action that's ideal for smaller water where precision is everything, the moderately stiff High Line Speed action for longer, more powerful casts and a Trout Spey model for big-water trout fishing. A special blend of two, and sometimes three, proprietary graphites makes all three actions incredibly responsive and lightweight. The offset oval reel seats have delicate green inserts engraved with the G.Loomis fish (Presentation models feature an engraved trout). Hopkins and Holloway stripper guides and hard chrome single-foot snake guides shoot line with ease. And each has premium Portuguese cork grips for all-day fishing comfort

Gloomis StreamDance Metolius Fly Rods

StreamDance Metolius Fly Rods are beautifully designed to reflect the central Oregon spring creek for which they were named, the Metolius is the workhorse of our trout line-up. These are smooth casting fly rods with both accouterments and the price scaled down a bit. They're made from a special blend of two and sometimes three proprietary graphite's (no... we are not telling you what they are). Metolius rods feature our exclusive offset-oval reel seat with a beautifully engraved G.Loomis fish on a delicate green insert. There are two different actions available in the Metolius line: Presentation and High Line Speed. Also available is a 13' 4" (3 piece) two-hand "trout spey" rod, offering a uniquely different approach to some very technical fly rod challenges. Salmon and Steelhead anglers have long under-stood the advantages of the super long rod and now it's available on a very nice 5/6-weight rod. It adds a totally new dimension to the trout angler's arsenal.
