Metz Capes are genetically selected for long, flexible stems and stiff fibres. While saddles have become quite popular for dry flies, capes still offer much larger size range for dry fly hackles. Capes also have a large number of wet fly feathers on the bottom end. Years of selective breeding have resulted in deep, natural colors plus strict grading eliminates off-colors and low quality feathers.Tan dyed Grizzly, Lt Dun Dyed Grizlly and Olive dyed Grizzly capes only come in grade 2 and 3.
