a quick note to confirm that the rods and back pack arrived safely on Wednesday 29th . My Crosscurrent and the back pack will be accompanying me to British Columbia in May and the two crosscurrents will follow my wife and I to the dominican republic in July on our family holiday, where we hope to find something to put a bend in them.

In past years I have purchased several fly outfits from you. I am looking for a moderately priced (maybe $250-$300) 9?- 9wt salt water outfit to give to a friend of mine as a gift. He primarily fishes Florida waters in the Jupiter area for snook, redfish, trout, etc. Can you suggest a combination package that is a good value? I think he would probably prefer a 3 piece travel rod and a large arbor reel.

So a little story to accompany my order....
I have ordered this kit from you after deliberating for the longest time on what would be a suitable gift for a special person. That special person is my surgeon who saved my life after having spent 14 hours working on me in the OR. He was telling me through leading questions what some of his likes and dislikes are and how I came to find out that he would love to learn to flyfish someday . That is how I arrived at my gift and to beat all he is from Ottawa and is a proud canadian. What a more fitting a gift ....I can not imagine and I have received it this very day. I will leave all the postage on the package so that he can see that it came from a very special country with obviously some very special people living within(and without) her borders. I opened my parcel with much expectation and trepidation as the parcel was a little crushed, however the very sturdy case that the vise came in was unscathed and everything inside was in pristine condition. And once again, I want to thank you for the Fly Tying kit we received for my husband's Christmas present. Before the Christmas weekend was over, we cleared a nice corner nook in our bedroom and drug in an old desk & chair. He hasn't been out in weeks!!!!!! (Tying flies, of course!) He's such a hard worker in his profession that he really deserves the peace and tranquility of this new hobby. Now if I would only let him fish more he'd have absolute "Utopia!"
