Using new technology for the fly tackle industry, the Sierra reels are fitted with a teflon disc drag, and a one-way clutch roller bearing. This system allows for super smooth drag action engaged only in one direction. The sierra drag allows for drag free retrievals when re-spooling line. The drag is easily converted by simply reversing the bearing direction.

Sierra reels are made from die cast aluminum. They are machined, brushed smooth, and finished with corrosion resistant, classic black enamel. The frame and spools are ported, producing extremely light, yet durable reels. Smooth, exposed rims make palming comfortable and effective.
